The Role

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable distributed systems that process vast amounts of financial data.
• Emphasize coding best practices, ensuring our systems are robust, efficient, and maintainable.
• Collaborate closely with data teams to ensure our systems align with data needs and quality standards.
• Engage in rigorous code reviews, challenging and learning from your peers to ensure the highest quality code.
• Translate complex macroeconomic concepts into functional, efficient code to provide nuanced, accurate financial insights.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent industry experience).
• 5+ years of professional experience with Python, with a strong emphasis on systems design and architecture.
• Deep understanding of database design, implementation, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud platforms.
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining large-scale applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience or strong interest in the fintech domain, particularly macroeconomics and economic data.
• Familiarity with web3 technologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
