About Truflation EV Commodity Index

The Truflation Electric Vehicle Commodity Index (TruEV) is designed to capture the core commodities essential to the production of electric vehicles by linking vehicle production volumes with the raw materials required for their batteries. The TruEV index measures the number of electric vehicles produced across four distinct EV categories and multiplies this by the underlying commodity inputs needed for each vehicle type. In aggregate, this methodology produces a representative basket of commodities that reflects overall EV production activity and demand.
